Rabbit Adoption

Wilmette Pet has long been known as your local adoption center. Our partnership with Adopt-A-Pet has, with your support, helped find homes for countless cats and dogs. Our Re-Homeward bound program helps our customers find new, loving homes for their pets when they find they can no longer care for them.

And now we’re excited to announce that we have teamed up with the rescue group Red Door of Chicago and are fostering rabbits that are up for adoption!

This is our current Red Door foster:

Meet Marta Von Trapp!

I’m a female mini satin, born at Red Door last July, along with my six siblings. I am spayed, vetted, micro-chipped, litter trained, and well socialized. My favorite pastimes are binkying, digging on blankets, and running laps as fast as I can, then flopping down for a long petting session. Cilantro and dill are my favorite greens. I’ve never known the joy of a real home, so won’t you please consider adopting me into your family?
My adoption fee is $100 and benefits all the animals at Red Door Animal Shelter.

Please understand that though you may want to take these adorable animals home with you when you see them, you will first have to go through the application process through Red Door. You can see all of their foster rabbits, and get the application here Fill it out and send it to the volunteers, and one of their adoption councilors will contact you.
